Details of our preseason plans are as follows:
2010 Fixtures
Handbooks are now available, these have full details of all league fixtures including the most recent amendments, the national cup (50 over) fixtures, the Cockspur cup (20/20 fixtures), all junior fixtures, the junior national cup games at under 12 and under 14 level (Collard Dawn trophy), preseason friendlies, rep.matches and other 20/20 games. Also included are details of match subs, contact details etc.etc. All of this for only £1.50 !! Fixture books will be available at all preseason functions,starting with the cricket clubs sponsorship of ATFC's game against Redditch on Saturday 3rd April. These can be purchased in the John Harrison Bar.
Handbooks will also be available at indoor and outdoor nets and at preseason friendlies.
Preseason Friendlies
We have 3 games arranged:-
Sunday 11th April --Eastwood --away--1pm
Saturday 17th April--glapwell--home--2pm--(20/20 fixture)
Sunday 18th April --Toton sycamores --away--1pm
Please note,we have assumed all seniors and all juniors who played senior cricket last year are available ,unless noted otherwise.
If you are not available ,please contact a team captain,Keith Clarke or myself to advise (those travelling to Ireland on the 9th are excused).
Preseason Practice.
1st outdoor practice for seniors and juniors who played seniors last year is Thursday 8th April at 6.15pm.
There is an indoor net on Friday 9th April ,at ALC,8.30-9.30pm for seniors and senior juniors.
We continue with Outdoor practice on Tuesday and Thursday,13th and 15 th April, 6.15pm,seniors and senior juniors.
First junior section practice (including Kwik's )is Monday 19th April at 6.30pm (£1 subs ,this season).
Seniors and senior juniors continue on Tuesday and Thursday 20th and 22nd at 6.30.
1st league games on 24th april
Junior practice contiues on 26th and each monday,thereafter.
1st junior games on 28th April (under 12 -2 teams)
PLEASE NOTE-Almost all of this schedule is subject to weather and subject to cancellation at short notice,please keep an eye and ear out for amendments.
We may need to schedule some indoor nets at MHM at short notice.
Finally...
Congratulations to Hannah Strong,Josh Fox,James Painter,Elliot Savidge and Jack Robbins who have all been selected to represent Derbyshire at their respective age groups.The 4 lads will be playing for their county sides in a representative game at Alfreton Park on Sunday 25th April.Come along and see how they get on.
